Diem Lien Tapscott, Beloved Father and Community Volunteer, Dies in Tragic Car Accident in Westminster, CA

Diem Lien Tapscott, a cherished member of the Westminster community, tragically passed away on the evening of September 20, 2025, following a car accident on Bolsa Avenue. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 8:45 p.m. and found Mr. Tapscott's vehicle had collided with a delivery truck. Despite the best efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Diem was known for his generosity, kindness, and dedication to local causes. He worked as a technician at Pacific Coastal Communications, where colleagues remember his exceptional work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need. Outside of his professional life, Diem devoted his time to coaching youth soccer teams at Westminster Community Park and volunteering at the Lunar New Year festival.

He is survived by his wife, Thao Tran; their two children, Emily and Lucas; his parents, Hon and Mai Tapscott; and his sister, Linh Nguyen. His loved ones recall his vibrant smile, patience, and joy in the simplest moments. He will be remembered for the love he showed his family and the positive impact he had on his community.
